Dental implants are titanium ‘screws’ that are placed into the jaw in order to replace missing teeth. Titanium is a material that is biocompatible to the body. After a period of healing, typically 3 months, the implant is ready to be restored. You are then referred to your dentist for the placement of the abutment (post) and crown that completes the tooth replacement process.
After surgery we will send any necessary prescriptions for antibiotics and/or pain medication directly to your pharmacy electronically. You will be seen for a follow up visit 1 week later to check on your healing and to remove stitches. Additional follow up visits may be necessary to continue to monitor your healing.
